JUNE NEWS

hey ho,
i know i know, i have not been writing for some time. only uploading my latest pics without comments even. i really feel bad about it! so i decided to post a BIG post today, updating you about what kept me from writing, besides sewing a lot....

one of the most important events that kept me from sewing and writing and posting for a few hours but nontheless inspired me to get back to it really quickly again, was the concert of Antony and the Johnsons at the Coliseu in porto. the only thing i have to say about that: IF YOU EVER HAVE THE CHANCE TO SEE THEM, SEE THEM!!!!

also then we have been doing some stuff for our house, such as framing the pictures that needed to be framed, and actually putting up one of them! yey! i hope we manage to hang up the other 3-4 within the next 1-2 years ;) one of them - an illustration by Ashley G - was an etsy-purchase i made a few months ago, check it out:

i also did some improvements in terms of work-space and sewed some storage-thing for my yarn and zipper-collection and also made these wonderful grannny-curtains:

to finalise my worksppace i found this wonderful green lamp for 1 euro at vandoma-fleemarket. not related to work, but just for the fun of having it, i also bought this amazing leather-handbag for 2 euros!!!! the only conclusion i can draw from this saturday-morning fleemarket-stroll: ITS WORTH IT!

then some friends from germany came over for a short week of holidays. i managed to get to work as well as to spend some great quality time with them having a churrasco and long walks from ribeira, to foz to some perfect dinner-night in matosinhos!

and last saturday-night we went to check out the free 48-hours party at portos museum of modern art in porto, the serralves foundation . when we arrived we first saw the Dan Deacon Ensembe which was great fun! later then came Gravy Train!!!!, which was a bit weird trash heavily bordering on crap.

....hmmmmm and besides doing all these great things i tried to document everything and more than that. finally here some pictures i brought home from my strolls across the beautiful city....
